About Erin

As the Clinical Director for both a local inpatient and outpatient program for Addictive disorders, Erin York strives to keep the path to recovery individualized. She graduated from Northwestern State University in 2011 with a double bachelors’ degree focusing on Psychology and Addiction. She completed the Masters of Counseling program at Louisiana Tech in 2015. She currently holds two Licenses in the state of Louisiana, Addiction Counselor and Professional Counselor. She considers herself a solution focused therapist and uses many techniques to work with individuals who have been diagnosed with any addictive disorders (chemical and behavioral). Erin believes there are many routes to recovery, and each person should have a unique treatment plan. She is a SMART recovery facilitator and conducts groups for the public free of charge. Not only does she specialize in addiction, she also has certifications in crisis intervention and domestic violence prevention. She currently works at Forever Wellness & Recovery Outpatient Center and Uprising Addiction Center- which is primarily a short term, inpatient facility. Both are located in Shreveport, LA. Erin’s goal is to normalize treatment for addictive disorders and educate others on ways to obtain it, supporting those seeking treatment and accepting those who have been affected by addiction.
